The Bogolan invites you to discover new lands through the beauty of the freehand patterns and symbols.
Bogolan is a traditional technique of painting and vegetable dyeing practiced in West Africa. This typically manual art, using natural products, is the result of the meeting of clay, the forest (bark, leaves) and cotton. It is a means of expression for the craftsmen.
Bogolan fabric carries with it the joy, friendliness and love that surround its creation. The colours and patterns are full of messages and tell a story of real and mythical events. It is a journey to discover the richness of the Dogon country in the heart of traditional rites and myths.
This model is 100% vegan (without leather). We combine it with cork, an excellent substitute for certain petroleum derivatives and animal leather. Soft and waterproof, cork degrades naturally, without creating toxic residues.
